Curious; What is your favorite numismatic publication (electronic or paper) and why?

The C4 Newsletter. Even though it arrives unbound (as loose sheets), it always contains articles that I find quite interesting and mostly well written. I bought the back file from a retiring collector so that I could have a complete set.
Penny-Wise (the EAC society journal) is second on my list.
For comparison, I do not keep issues of The Numismatist (I just digitize the articles I want and toss the magazine itself).

Pretty much the only one I get is CoinWorld (weekly and monthly). I have electronic access to The Numismatist but I don’t usually remember to read it.

I’m a little prejudiced here but The John Reich Journal.

By the way, a free copy to anyone interested in the bust series.

Please PM me with your snail mail address.

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

Call me old fashioned, but I haven’t changed my routine for roughly four decades, receiving the PRINT issues of Coin World and Numismatic News, which are my favorites. Yes, I also enjoy the print issue of the PCGS member’s Rare Coin Market Report, and digital issues of The Gobrecht Journal and ANA’s The Numismatist.

Sorry, I pass all of my print issues on to a local coin collector friend.

I guess I must be REALLY old, because I remember when Coin World took more than a few minutes to read. Now it's not substantive enough to be worth strategically placing in a bathroom/restroom, and the ink may make other uses problematic. :*

@gumby1234 if you are looking for a specific article, contact the ANS - they can make you a copy for a nominal fee.

@BStrauss3 I wouldn't know the name of the article. A physical copy would be nice to have because a coin that I own is in it.

I occasionally get Coinworld, or Coinage if I see an article that interests me (I check it out on the rack at B&N). I do not subscribe to any.... I get about six monthly firearm magazines. Cheers, RickO

I've been reading Coin World since my mother got a year's subscription for me as a Christmas present in 1964. Sure wish I had taken advantage of their Lifetime Subscription offer in 1965 but, as a 15-year-old, I didn't have the $150 back then.......

Search for the article at the NNP. You won't see more than an excerpt (still under copyright).

You may have to get creative with the search...

An electronic publication I like and use very much is "Variety Vista."

As I started collecting very shortly after Coin World was first published I most certainly remember those big issues from years ago.

I currently have a 1 year "hard copy" subscription to Coin World.

    NOT interested in "digital" publications.

I would never buy a coin magazine at the store. Waaaay too expensive for what you get!
