Change find (edited) another find

Got this awesome change find yesterday from a vending machine at work. Lol 2011s clad proof glacier quarter


The same vending machine brought me luck to this time a buffalo nickel 1920 d or a (mints almost gone can just see the top of it

    When you break open proof sets for the Kennedy Half I guess you have to spend the rest - LOL!

    Looks like some one got into dads's or Grampa's collection and busted open a proof set. This not really that uncommon. When I search rolls of quarters, I find S mints and have even found a silver proof. Great find.

    It is not uncommon - nor very common - to find proof coins in circulation. Probably from either broken up proof sets (such as to save the half dollar), or disposal of inherited sets - just spending them. I have found a few over the years... Rarely silver, I think only two. Cheers, RickO
