1995 DDO Lincoln Cent - GTG

I'm thinking possibly MS66 - what say you.................and will it be worth it sending in to get graded/slabbed? Right now it's in a Littleton coin folder.

It's probably a 67. Nice, mark free example. 65-67 is currently $70-$100.00 In a PCGS slab.

That's a novel idea - It already is tightly sealed in the Original Packing! :)

I worry that it got a little bath before it was entombed in that holder......

With that thin coat of copper on the zinc planchet you can tell easily when they have been tampered with. So I'm thinking it's original. Thanks for replying.

    MS67.
As this is by far the most common of the "major" doubled dies in the Lincoln Cent series, I would leave it in this package.

I have never seen a Littleton packaged error like that. I think they mostly use inert packaging so should be OK as is.

Then again, I had a silver eagle from them in a blue card that started turning a nice purple around the periphery.

    Yes they are but...

The first pic is blurred evident in the cheek and the hair behind the ear. So much so it doesn’t even look like the same coin. The first pic would be 65 but the second pic tells a different story closer to 67+ or 68. And the noise on the lower reverse is on the inside of the packaging.
    Crack and submit.

And if for any reason you want to unload it, I will happily pay price guide or market price which ever is greater.

Edit, or if it falls short I’ll cover your total costs ;)

It is the same coin - here's the reverse of the Littleton packaging.........

I remember in 1995 when these were 1st found. A local pretty big dealer was able to get 25 mint sealed bags with the date run that these were minted. He paid me $100 per bag to go through them. I ended up finding over 1000 of these after going through all the bags. It was a fun time. I made a little extra money and he even gave a 10 of them.

I really never sell my coins - the only time I "Unloaded" coins was very unintentional. I noticed my gold coins were slowly disappearing untill I told my live in girlfriend to disappear, abit too late as it turned out only 2 St Guadens survived her thievery and lies. But that was probably 20 years ago and have become smarter and more careful from that expensive lesson in life.

I don’t sell my coins very often either.
And I rarely buy them but this is one I have yet to find.
