Problem with US Mint delayed shipping

Here is a problem I am running into, and I'm sure a few other folks will too, by the time they ship these Morgan dollar coins.
I was fortunate enough to get 2 of each, however , the credit card I used has an expiration date of Jul 21. it is the only card that is officially tied to my home address. The others are po box or shop address (which has been nothing but issues in past matching the card address to shop). Anyway, the cc was authorized by the mint, and processed, but after about two weeks pending drops off, becuase they didnt actually ship. So , now that i got the new card, same number, but different expiration date, and cvc code, I updated the mints website, but was told by the mint, that when they go to ship, they will not use the new updated card on file, but will use the information in the order , which will have an expired date and different cvc code. And there wasn't nothing they could do to update the actual order. tried calling the bank the card is issued on, and they said unfortunately when they run it with the old info, it will decline it. I am thinking, i cant be the only person with the situation especially by the time they get around to shipping them after several cards are expired.
I hope the US Mint addresses this also!

I think a number of people will be in the same position. I don’t expect they will make much of an effort to address the issue, either. I suspect they will do what they have done with previous unsold inventory. They will make it available again at a later date without clearly communicating time or quantity available.
Wow... That will be disappointing to some collectors. The lag time between order and shipping is significant enough, that for many, at order time, they did not consider such an issue. Cheers, RickO
Supposedly they can change the CC info
If anyone can truly confirm this post-COVID, let me know. I don’t think I’ve seen someone actually confirm this.
I never thought of this but my card got hacked two weeks ago so I will have the same issue.
Normally when you run a CC through an order on a website they have to do they charge within 60 days or they need to get your info again. I dont know how the mint plans to run this order several months after the info was taken and accepted.

It is IMPORTANT that you consider your credit/debit card. They will likely probe the card when ordered, then charge the card several months later, before shipping. Don't use a card with expiration date before expected shipping date!

5 months is a long wait to ship. Alot is going to happen to alot of orders during those 5 months. My credit union notified me that they were re-issuing thousands of debit cards because of a "security issue" several months ago, that could void a pending order.

The USM did advise at the time, I think even on the Morgan dollar page of the issue with shipping date and credit card expiry. That being said, I recently had an order for a bronze medal on back order from last year that the rep said he could change the expiration date as long as it was the same cc number. I would keep trying until you got a rep that could do that.
I ran into similar. I knew my card was expiring in July, so expedited the update, so I could give them the new card info. Unfortunately, one of my order went through without having the payment info showing, and they said they could not fix that. Weird.
My card expires March 2022. If I have this problem we’re all in the 💩house. I don’t see a problem with authorization expiring they have had my card stored for years they’ll run it again like it’s the first time it goes through or it doesn’t. I pay off my card each month and I’ve had the same card and number for over 20 years. I have no worry of it going through.
Hopefully they can find a way to resolve the issue and get the coins to you.
But this issue has me rethinking situations where they charge a card before actually shipping the product. I’ve always thought of this as you’re holding my money and using it but the product has been shipped. On the flip side that practice avoids a situation where a card expires before the product is available to ship.
another round of emails are due
