Peace Dollars are outside of my normal collecting interests, but I'm not aware of any variety that would bring a premium on that particular date... it looks like a blast white common date Peace Dollar in 3rd world plastic... is the PCI holder rare??
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;

I'm just wondering why PCI didn't assign it a grade #? I have 2 PCI graded coins (gold and white label) and they are both over graded by a point.
It is graded with PCI. It's an MS65. eBay doesn't allow the insert grade to be shown on PCI and SEGS and NTC along with ACG coins.
Seller says it is a "five". The gold holders are typically overgraded, so there are probably hits or hairlines we are not seeing that would knock it to a 4. Where the current bid is, it would have to have a shot at a 6 for me to bid on it.
Looks to have blazing luster and relatively mark free surfaces. Based on the photos, I would pay 65 money for it, but wouldn't pay more than that without seeing it in hand.
Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions
I would not recommend bidding more than MS60 CDN bid if even that much. Unless Anacs, ICG, PCGS, NGC the TPG accepted by eBay I would treat it as a raw coin. If the seller thinks otherwise let him shop it around the bourse.
Whether it’s some higher grade is conjecture until it’s submitted and graded - PCGS.
Looks PL....I thought about it just to see if it was but.....closed at $162....hopefully, someone here got it and can bring it to the table.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
At first glance it is a gorgeous lustrous Peace dollar. As was previously noted, after closer examination, the heavy scratches below her neck and various on her neck along with the rim damage may even prevent a grade or would surely limit the grade, in addition the weak reverse strike makes it not as attractive as obverse. I would have passed.

No, nothing like that. Simply a blazer and looks GEM. Spotting is minimal too. Doesn't look dipped out and the strike is nice.

"Memento mori !"
They did, the seller edited it out of the picture to conform with eBay's rules.

Are you sure? Maybe they're correct, and the coins you're comparing them to are undergraded by a point.

Ahhh, I see now - darn weak glasses. Thanks for the info.....

I was on a different forum about 5-6 years ago and that was the consensus. Maybe I'll dig them out and post a GTG thread.

From the photos the coin looks nice. Photos can be tricky. Do you feel lucky?

Looks nice. Hairlines are easy to hide in photos.
Somebody thinks it's a 66

The coin has great luster, but a rim ding, some kind of mark at base of neck, and a weak reverse. Would not pay premium for that one. Cheers, RickO
The luster is the bomb though coupled with orange peel surfaces. I like it- just not at the now price. I'd imagine it'll close higher too.
I don't like the sellers pics and I agree with @Cougar1978 . Peace Roy

There are rim-dings on the obverse the coin which are fully visible, the seller fully discloses that as well.
