Just got this one back from a successful crossover submission, it is the first graded proof-like modern commemorative at PCGS. These things do not come up for sale often, NGC has 25 graded total from 64-68. Definitely has the look of a choice proof in hand!

Very nice…congratulations! I know these are more common but I always liked these Geo. Washington commems.

That is cool! Congratulations. It is obviously getting more and more difficult to find a "PCGS first time" these days.

That's almost as nice as a proof. Congratulations on a #1 designation. I hope the PL makes it worth considerably more as they made so many of these, especially proofs that they are practically worthless. They are a beautifully designed modern coin. When an MS69 or PR70 is not worth slabbing, they made too many.

Shows that Elizabeth Jones is probably the most talented modern coin artist we have had.

That is a nice design I don’t believe I seen that before. Nice job on the PL cross.

Do you have a modern commemorative half dollar registry set? I wonder what this would do for you points wise.

I would suspect you wont get any extra points for a PL designation. The Classic Commemoratives don't have any extra points for Prooflike designations. Too bad, that is a fantastic looking Washington.

  • Thank you all!
I currently do not have a half dollar registry set, my main collecting focus for about two years now has been assembling a PL type set. I'm making some decent progress, but still a long way to go.
