I think this is type 2 S mintmark. Can anybody confirm? It a 1981 SBA

    99.9% no. The type 2 in 81 has flat ends top and bottom. This one has raised.If it was a 79, it would be a type 2.

    Here is type 1 then type 2 side by side - as stated yours looks to be Type 1
