Welcome ... it's nearly impossible to answer the question without knowing what you wish to sell. At nearly any point in time, parts of the market are hot and parts are cold. It's a great time to sell some items and not others.
As mentioned above, the more you learn about what you have, the better you will be able to inform your decision. Also, feel free to post some images here and you will get some good advice.

@ThomasM .... Welcome aboard. It is always a good time to sell good material. Let us know, in general terms, what you have - i.e. coin types, mints, conditions, raw/slabbed etc.. You will get some excellent advice here. Cheers, RickO
I'd use Great Collections or some similar place (Heritage comes to mind) rather than playing the eBay game. Also, the BST forum provided by our host is another good place to sell.
There’s no way to provide meaningful advice without knowing the particulars of the “collection”.
I receive emails on a weekly basis, asking for valuations and/or about selling or auctioning “collections”. Some of them are literally, pocket change and others aren’t much more valuable than that. Unless or until some information is provided, it’s pointless to suggest potential selling venues.

This is not good advice without knowing what it is. Most collections consist largely of material that neither GC nor Heritage will accept.

As others have already stated... it depends upon what you have for sale. I've noticed here (on the BST) and on eBay, that problem coins (corroded, damaged, cleaned, etc.) languish and don't bring strong bidders. On the other hand, higher end coins are definitely moving and bringing strong money. Best of Luck!

Probably a great time actually.

Thank you.
Venue matters though.

Do your research before offering anything.
It all depends on what you’re selling. Definitely buy a red book and start reading before offloading.

What are you selling? Rarities or common date? PCGS? CAC? Raw? Other certified? Grade range? Series?
+1
