Look at the third image in your link. Specifically, the obverse side, under the "1" in 2021. I believe that this is an example of the "variation".
Another example can be found here. There appears to be a "variation" at 6 o'clock on image #1, and at 12 o'clock on image #2.
This is interesting. I will examine the edge when I receive one. I see the pictures, but not sure that is the entire story. Cheers, RickO

I have two basic issues with this item...if it's from West Point, why am I seeing an "S" on the newly redesigned reverse?
And...what's up with the placement of the overly prominent "AW" on the obverse??? When I looked fast, I thought the AW was a W mintmark.

And I like the new eagle design, but what's with the offset placement of E Pluribus Unum to the side behind the bird's tail end? It's a bit too asymmetric.

LOL They just updated the reverse photo from S to W mintmark!
It kind of shows how closely they monitor these threads.

I am not seeing the 'update/change'.
I went to the 'product page' for 21EAN.
Then I clicked on the third image - it shows both the obverse and the reverse.
For me, the reverse still shows a "S" mintmark, not a "W".
Edit to add an image. (It is my first attempt at inserting an image. So, bear with me.)
You are both right, I noticed this a few days ago. In the picture of the single reverse it shows the w mint mark, but in the third picture showing obv and rev it's an S mintmark. Maybe they will use this same image for both mint marks?
