Copper for the Weekend...
Not sure if I've ever posted this one before. I bought this coin at one of the last shows I attended (Baltimore) from Col. Ellsworth... back when we used to do such things!
Feel free to GTG if you wish. I'll post the card that the coin came in later...

My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I purchased this Lincoln cent in the hopes it was a contemporary counterfeit. Sadly, it is not, and, much to my dismay, is genuine.
The coin has that spark erosion dies "look" to it... that were never buffed out. If not counterfeit, what would cause that? it looks "as struck"...

I own this coin and YES, it's whizzed.
Metal detecting find. I have many early wheaties that I have found that look just like that.

Tooled on the obverse, to remove numerous scratches; the reverse is original. The price was very reasonable for a wreath vent.
