Going through some of my inventory. I came across this fantastic looking quarter!

The Silver 2018s Reverse proof



What an unusual coin.

1. it's a proof

2. Great Condition

3. The "Reverse Proof " aspect.

4. SILVER, SILVER, SILVER

And here is the most surprising aspect

5. The LOW, LOW Mintage!

Only 190,170. :o
This poor coin gets NO respect.
Value: $15 Tops
Crazy Hobby. :/ Although, I love it. Lol

    Mintage is low, but survival rate in high grade is high 🙂

    Still, a very neat coin. Reverse is one of the better designs of the series, imo.

    If you enjoy it, that's the important part. It is a hobby after all!

    If you got it CRH then it was no doubt part of someone's Christmas/birthday present that they just didn't care about or it was flat out stolen.

    You can't put proofs in the same category as business strikes. There are a LOT of proofs with lower mintages than S-VDB cents.

    You're also comparing a cent to a quarter, for that matter.

    A very nice coin.... I have not collected the modern quarter series... none of them. I stopped buying mint/proof sets around 2008. All sets have been sitting in the moving box, unopened, since I relocated late in 2008. Wasn't there a mint set in the late '90's with a missing or abraded mint mark? I think I have that one... since I never hear about it anymore, I guess it never attained collector interest. Oh well, should really do something about them... but what? Cheers, RickO

    The S-VDB is not at all rare. Many were saved when issued. But they must be bought if you want one-that was the case when I started collecting 60 years ago. It was nearly impossible to find one in circulation and had been true for many years before I started to collect.

    Most of the America the Beautiful quarters are well designed and attractive IMO. The Georgia is one of the best.
