With talk that the new Morgan and Peace centennial dollars might become an annual issue, would you prefer that:

  1. The annual American Eagle series be retired either temporarily or permanently...and not redesigned at all

  2. The Morgan and Peace dollars run as a side by side annual issue with the redesigned American Eagle

  3. Only the redesigned Eagle continues and the Morgan and Peace dollars only be a one time (2021) special issue

And should the 2021 Morgan and Peace dollars be included in registry sets with the original historical coins?

    …I hope it’s one and done…for 100 years at least ;)

I’ll start...although I do feel it’s a bit cool that my Morgan and Peace sets will no longer be considered “obsolete”...I do feel it’s weird to treat them as a straight continuation of the old series for registry purposes...especially if they become new multi year issues in their own right.

My preference would be just issue the 100 year (2021) coins and wait for another 100 years for the next special issue. As far as the ASE, it should continue, redesigns happen.... Cheers, RickO

I am curious as to what the modern mint can do with the coins.

Sort of neutral on all the questions.

It wont replace the originals, but I will own a copy of each for curiosity sake.
