Call me crazy but....

I really like this modern clad half ‘s design from the US Mint. Pricey...definitely but I love the fingerprint. I have an old coin or two with someone’s inadvertently added fingerprint. This one, the fingerprint belongs there. 😊

You’re crazy. Shouldn’t you be seeing a magnified fingerprint through the magnifying glass ?

Good point. Perhaps this is a symbolic illustration of Law Enforcement’s transitioning from using fingerprints to identify suspects to facial recognition or Iris characteristics. HM

Edited to add: Or the guy fabricating the Die was careless that day.

I prefer the shield side of the coin, but I commend the committee for the innovative choice of print and glass design. Much better than a portrait(s) of individuals. Cheers, RickO

  • Whose fingerprint do you think they used? Is that Ryder's? It's only a partial, but maybe enough for a match?

It’s a hand mirror...maybe why this cop failed his detective exam three times.... >:)

That fingerprint could easily be identified. It could very well have been part of the allure to this coin.

A special individual may very well have been selected to volunteer his or her fingerprint. That print could very well be on file at FBI HQ'ers under the civil or criminal division.....................hopefully not criminal!

    Love the coin!!

Wonder what the back story is?

    I don't like it.

  • Did they make 5 or 10 oz versions of these? Do they all have fingerprints?

One must become the fingerprint to truly understand the deeper esoteric knowledge of the design...or just be crazy.
