Nice!
Its also good to have two, just so the other one won't get lonely.
what kind of holder do they have for the whole press?
An acrylic cube 10 feet on a side previously used by Siegfried & Roy in their Vegas show.
for anyone reading not familiar, those 2 "fingers" on the end are what scrape the dies to create "feeder finger gouges" amongst other things.
Note that these Graebener press feeding fingers (circa 1986-2001) move in a circular path. I am not aware of any examples of marks left on dies from feeder fingers on a Graebener press.
The feeding finger slide marks (which appear as isolated polished patches) on different coins from the 1920s to 1950s were caused by linear-motion feeder fingers on older Bliss (and similar) coin presses.
Very nice!
So those slabs were totally custom made by NGC. I'm just looking at the craftsmanship. Looks like they fabricated and made customized cuts in the holder.
How's the fit? Is it snug? No rattler I hope.
The entire holder is 5.75" x 7.5". The pieces beyond the "circle" part are obviously hand cut. It is snug in the holder.
Somehow I expected them to be graded…
Actually if you look them up by the submission/slab # they are default graded PR1. The only other one I know of besides these two is "graded" the same.
Lol, the ultimate lowball set…
Interesting... I would guess this qualifies as 'exonumia'....
Cheers, RickO
Would the press itself count as exonumia
A unique collectable for sure.
This is one case where the buyer of one of these is happy that the seller gave him the finger.
Graded PR1? I wonder what that means.
Not on the slab but deep in the NGC cert lookup.

They can be looked up using the "Verify NGC Certification" feature using the Cert. # and for GRADE use either "PR1" or "Other".
Here are the 3 Cert. #'s that I'm aware of:
5931925-001
5931925-002
4915066-002
Correct, now there are 3 certified by NGC. Mine was the first, and I provided Dave Camire extensive documentation that my feeder finger was from the Grabener Press that struck Quarters inside the U.S. Mint in Denver.
It was featured in Mint Error News Magazine and CoinWeek.
Obviously 2 more have just been certified by NGC and discussed in this thread.
