  I've always wondered on slabs like these....

  Is the TPG, which might specialize in coins or currency, authenticating the signatures as well? Or are they just noting on the label that it has been signed?

  In this particular case I know they are real, but I was just curious.

  The signatures are not guaranteed. Somewhere on PMG's site, for example, they state that the courtesy signatures on currency is not guaranteed to be authentic.
