A Coin Roll Hunter's delight! No, it's not the coffee.
Hey guys, just wanted to show what all us hound dogs look for in searching through rolls of half dollars. This picture, makes our hearts quiver. Lol
This is what is called a, "Sammie". Two silver half dollars with clad half dollars in between them, a Sammie. (Sandwich)

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Silver half dollars are a great roll find.... When I used to search rolls of halves, I only found one...and that was a WLH... Got frustrated after a while and gave up the search. Cheers, RickO
Nice ones!
That toner is actually pretty cool!

Nice find on the 40%!
Think for a minute about how many more coins you could buy each year if you didn't drink that brand of coffee!

Actually, my bicentennial pictured, came out of a whole roll of '76d's. One of the rolls were one of these, I chose the best one and threw the rest back.

Hey nice haul.
Probably two or three in any given roll.

So I was motivated to actually check. I had a box of $400 in halves sitting here so I did a quick run through to see how many bicentennials were in there.
Out of the 800 coins, 130 of them were bicentennial, or 16.25%.
So, based on my very small sample size, on average you should expect 3.25 bicentennial halves per roll.

Yep, like I mentioned, how 'bout 20 in one roll?
