Trying my hand at a GTG. (grade revealed)

Just got this coin. Thought I would try one of these guess the grade posts I've been seeing.

Thanks to everyone who has responded. How long do I wait until releasing the grade?

The photos make it look like a 66 or better to me.

It’s very clean but the right obverse field above IGWT and left breast area and left hand have a look that makes me think maybe AU58.
If not and the luster is there I’d think MS65.
Nice coin. I have a 58 that looks 64. Hard to differentiate by photos. Thanks for sharing.
66, great looking Walker.

....looks nice and lustrous
The reverse of a WLH can only bring a grade down, This one's stand-alone grade of 67+ is irrelevant. The greyness on the breast might have more lustre under and around it to render the detraction less distracting at a slightly different angle. Worst case, the scuff above IGWT is the only thing that could hinder 66.
66.3 "A"
My compliments on much better photography than... never mind
Give people another full day. This is a great coin to go to school on. A damn shame none of us can grade from pictures.
I'll go along with the crowd and say 65.
Looks like a blazer. I'll go 66.
24 hours is a good rule of thumb. I like it as a 65+

That's a real blazer. I'll go 66 as well.

Thanks to everyone who replied. The coin is graded 66. It is reassuring to see guesses of that grade and within one grade. I am aware this isn't an exact science but I think I'm getting a little better at picking out coins. It's also reassuring that I was able to pick up on the area above IGWT and message the seller prior to buying to make sure it wasn't a break in luster. It is actually just the reflection of the coin and just what appears to be a touch of toning.
I would also love to hear what folks who guessed 65 thought kept the coin from going higher.
Thanks again sincerely. Do I change the title of this thread to show that the grade was released?
Edit to say grade revealed. Edit, good job on your first GTG.
Cool. I didn't see this until after the grade was posted, but it looks like a 66 to me.
To answer your question, there isn't any official GTG protocol, but changing the thread title to indicate the grade is posted is a nice touch. It let's people check back to see how they did.
The pictures held it back a bit, I assume it looks better in hand.
Time to clean the slab scratches and maybe take an angle shot or two with different lighting and then maybe the guesses upgrade to a 67.
I will also guess the strong strike made up for the thin luster but again the pic could be lying.
I thought 65 mainly from the marks above igwt, which you noticed too and already explained

Just saw this now. Walkers get crushed with scratches and mars in the obverse fields and hits on the sun and rays. For some reason they get crushed with hits on the eagle's feathers even though they're better hidden. The difference between 65 and higher often seems to come down to color, originality and luster. Great "pop" wins the day on these beautiful coins.
Once again thanks to all. I appreciate the compliments on the coin very much. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Very educational, thanks for posting.
