I just heard that the mint is NO longer making any of the Ver 1 Silver eagles!!!
Now what will that do to the price from now the the Ver 2 comes out in July?

I suspect a temporary bump until people realize there’s a ton of them already minted.
I expect to see some hype from flippers or the TV hucksters... but no lasting effect. Cheers, RickO

The proofs were available this morning.
But I imagine they stopped striking them a while ago to stay with the Type 2s.

Given that silver takes were selling at a record pace during the beginning of the year, the bullion version are not going to be a key date and should have no premium

I am a really small dealer but I do have some inside information at times.
