April 3, 2021 is a very, very special day indeed! For me personally. Yesterday was my birthday and I'm just glad to be alive. 2020 was pretty rough and I had 3 very close calls. The dreaded sickness and then I was bit by a rattlesnake. Then a relapse with complications caused by the bite. I'm only here today because of the California Poison Response team from San Diego in one case, the fast action of my wonderful daughter-in-law, Monica, in another case, and the good people at Kaiser hospital overall. I know that this is all too much drama but I want to post it here for two reasons. First, this forum and the sports forum, and all of you members were a God send to me. I was in and out of the hospital so many times that I've lost track. No visitors allowed because of covid. You guys here were my connection with the outside world. It gave me great comfort and an escape from what I was going through. Thanks, all. And second, I just want to tell everyone to appreciate life and the ones you love. You just never know. One minute everything is fine and then in an instant things change. So, yes, this day is special. My party last night was a highlight of my life. The little Hydrants gave me joy that I've never known before. I'm just glad to be here. And remember.....EVERYDAY is special. Lou Gherig said it best......."I'm the luckiest man in the world. ". Thanks everybody.

Well Let me say when your that far down the only way is up! Yeah korny...but true....ive been layed up myself since the 1st week of December. Bad time to fall ill....esspecially durring covid.
Now post surgery almost 2 weeks and on the road to recovery myself.
I agree 100 % that the short time here ive met some cool people and enjoyed the long hours....that pre December were busy at work..... I miss work.....
San Deigo is one of my favorite vacation spots.... funny story took me 20 + years to get my wife on a plane there.....pre marriage I traveled a lot .... mostly the Carribean, central America, Mexico Canada......well 20 minutes after touch down ....I hear can we go home........get Lucky our Dalmatian and move here?
She fell hard for for everything south cali had to offer...
I even drove her up to Rodeo dr right to the LV store, and a new purse!
We stayed out on shelter island.....where I Chartered a 32 foot sail boat , had a college buddy and his wife meet us from Flagstaff . Growing up on the Chesapeake bay I've had many boats both blow, and power.
Two Thanksgivings in a row we had dinner at the Del..... omg unbelievable....
Opps....ran away with this...im sure you understand why being locked up now 3 plus moths now.
Enough about me ...wishing you a speedy recovery, and yes life is grand.....and one must know there's always who has it worse. And be happy with little things .....as my mom always said...."expect nothing and be happy with what you do get"... you got a lot after a snake bite and covid. Best regards and I hope that this spring holiday season you have have the warmth of family to enjoy a nice dinner.
The only reason I can think of to get married because it is a special date (other than the fact that getting married is special), is so the male can remember anniversaries. I have a granddaughter who was talked into that a few years ago (forget what date it was), but the marriage lasted about a year.... so much for special dates. Marriage is far more important, with much, much more to consider, prior to making such a commitment. Cheers, RickO

Not quite the same thing, but I was married in 2000. Every anniversary I can easily do the math on which anniversary it is. 😂😂😂

Yes, NOT getting married.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
to me it's just another day nothing special or unusual about it
those who are laughed at always have the last laugh
Why?
Refresh our memories
Looks like a countdown day.

Not if one is in Europe. They would write it: 3/4/21

My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.
