Looks like a really nice high grade matte proof that will bring a strong price.

Amazing coin. Wish I could afford some proof gold!

Beauty!
Many successful BST transactions with dozens of board members, references on request.
Nice one!
On some matte proofs, that weren't sand blasted too hard, you can just make out fingernails & toenails.
Check out her torch hand pointer finger and her big toe on the 1913, that was intentional.
It's sometimes easier on the regular proofs like the 1909 & 1910

Barber did a fantastic job on the total revamp of the original type 1 low relief dies.
Look at those watery fields

More saint trivia.
The 1913 & 1923 had a flat top on the '3'
The 1930-1933 were all rounded.
I thought that was interesting

I noticed the same thing on the Indian gold $10's. The 1913 has a flat top 3 while the 1932 has a round top 3.

Love those surfaces!

That 1913 Saint is absolutely gorgeous.... While I generally prefer the clear, mirror fields, this one is exceptional. Cheers, RickO
Matte proof Saints and Indians are sweet!

Both of those Saints are stunning, but the OP 1913 is almost otherworldly.

added another imageto the OP. no special designation, much to my surprise.
and supposedly there are 14 !!!!! higher.
Wow, I am surprised. I normally under grade gold but I would have guessed at least a couple points higher on that one... based on the pics. My MS66 looks like a dog compared to this PR66.
ya, i'd have to see it in-hand and/or a rotating image to process a 66+. seems like an 8 or 9 from these images.
My coin porn fix for the day. That's why I tune in.
Lady Liberty still needs a nose job.
I never have understood the nose on the Saint even though the OP's image looks light years ahead of most of the examples that I have examined.
Beautiful coin nun the less!
Sharp looking Saint!!

Wow i like 🙂
I love matte proofs! In fact St. Gaudens, MacNeil and Weinman actually objected to a mirror proof finish and they believed that polished surfaces cheapened their design.
It is a gold coin I actually think may be undergraded. If you know how strict I am when it comes to grading gold you would realize what a compliment that is!
drooling at the moment. thanks for posting! @LanceNewmanOCC
Man...what a coin.
Wow. Incredible coin.

Yummy gold proof 🤤🤤🤤😋😋
Well, I've got the Silver 100 Gram Winged Liberty by Dan Carr, which I think is one of the most beautiful coins (or tokens) there is, but can't wait to see it done in 100 gram, 24k Gold!
Agreed, there is just something super special about having mirrored fields and never quite understood the attraction of sandblasting those surfaces. Definitely unique and beautiful in its own right though.
Seems under graded...nice coin
It’s a nice coin, but I find it curious the coin is still in the NGC holder. Unless it failed to cross (suggesting the images are hiding something), leaving the coin as NGC instead of PCGS CAC is leaving a lot of money on the table for a coin like that.
