Sorry to hear. Could you imagine 14 day quarantine without the forum and your Dark Internet and your Instagram and your Facebook?!

Great time to add one of these options:
Go trolling for lake trout (big ones) from your rowboat from the ramp at your lake cabin
Who is moving you to a different house? Or, rather, who gave you the instructions/order to move?
I need to take option 2
I'm at a boarding school. Roomate is postive, he;s going home. I'm negative but since I was exposed and (had covid so have antibodies) their moving me to another house on campus.
Can't leave campus. At a boarding school.
Thanks for your reply. I was just curious. I figured it was something along the lines of your situation. Hope all is well with you. Thanks, again.
Depending on the campus you should be able to take a walk in the woods alone for a change of scenery.
Negative. They told me to stay in the house. I’m going to be housed in a vacated staffs house.
Only in California apparently.
I had to fly through LA recently just to change planes and a form had to be completed agreeing to being quarantined if staying in LA County regardless of any COVID test.
A $500 fine threatened just for not completing the form online but there was no one monitoring and for that matter the online completion of the form did not even respond with a confirmation.
With the prevailing attitudes, could be Washington or Oregon also!
They should test you now and again in 5-7 days in quarantine. If still negative then they should let you go back.
Interesting..... BUT.....NOBODY in Southern California, at least around here, pays a bit of attention to ANY of the lockdown rules. Not around here. The Hydrants are 5th generation California by the way. NOBODY except me wears a mask at the local country market. I wish they would. Dining out....no masks....no questions. I don't disagree with many of the rules..... but....people don't care. I think they should. They don't. Hey,...FREEDOM is good. California has a bad reputation. Maybe well deserved. But I respect the FREEDOM LOVERS. Good for them!
P.S. The governor is under recall now. I wonder why? It's still the Wild West!
Nope, worked the entire last year and have been exposed a few times but never a pos test. Hopefully it won't be a long quarantine for you.

I guess it depends where you are in So Cal. in our neck of the woods people are complying 99% by wearing masks. Same in West LA. We are looking for a second home in Palm Springs/ Desert and are spending a lot of time there. 99% masks. Can't actually remember someone not wearing one in public.
Now when we venture south to Orange County that's where we notice a lot of no masks. We just avoid these people like the plague.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I hear you. Now, leave Orange Co. and venture into the hills of Riverside Co. People here take pride in NOT wearing masks! I really don't care but it is somewhat interesting. By the way....I came down with it. It was bad but I'm still here. Two sons, one daughter in law, and 5 little Hydrants got it. One only 7 months old. Well, whatever. I would also also like to avoid these people like the plague.....but.....they are everywhere I go..........
Hmmm, NOBODY wears masks you say?
Gotcha. Badge of honor to some I guess. Glad you battled through it sir. Keep that little Hydrant safe. You are blessed.

I wear a mask at work, in the stores or if I will be out of the house in a group. Not while out hiking, or driving or walking the dogs. Fully vaccinated... Never got it, don't want it.... Cheers, RickO
We roll about the same way but hitch our masks on when encountering people while hiking or walking the pups
We both are through round 1 of the shots

CDC: Fully vaccinated people can travel within the United States without getting tested for Covid-19 before or self-quarantining after.
@CalifornianKing - I am so sorry you are having to go through this. That's a real bummer. Do take care and stay safe. Your safety and that of others are paramount. I'm obviously a LOT older than you as I have received both shots of the Pfizer vaccine, but am still self-quarantining due to living in a neighborhood (hell, a whole city for that matter!) where nobody wears masks or practice any social distancing rules. These nut cases care about nobody but themselves. It's dangerous and completely disgusting to me.

Aren't people making an assumption here?

The OP stated that their roommate had tested positive. They also stated that they believed that they had already had COVID in the past given a positive antibody test.
It is likely school policy to quarantine them since they had a known exposure to someone that has indeed tested positive. It is unknown to what extent immunity is maintained in individuals that have previously had the infection. It is also not confirmed whether or not said person might be infectious to others if reinfected, and perhaps not even sick.
The school is erring on the side of caution given the numerous unknowns.
Hang in there.
There are much worse fates!
Some good books, exercise, movies would be welcome.
Expand your coin knowledge perhaps with some research.
I’ll leave it at that and keep my personal experiences and opinions out of this as it could easily go poof!
And, to answer your question. No, I am not currently under quarantine-though I have already been through several sessions over the course of the past year.

Weird thing... my wife got sick.
Went back after a month of shut down and was quickly infected... We think from one of her clients.
Somehow, I did not, and we live in a small house.
Just keep busy, this too shall pass.

They said I'm a carrier so im stuck for 14 days
My roomate was postive. I was negative. Still quarantined.
I did get covid in the past, have the test to prove it.
Just thought I'd drop in here to say hi before the thread goes (even more) political and gets poofed.
As for the OP, good time to catch up on some good books and movies.
Not into gaming?
yup, hard to game on a mac
You have my permission to post obvious coin observations until the quarantine is lifted
Thank you
. Not sure what that is but, I will try to do it?
Ive been given the 14 day set down twice due to exposure . The type of work I do puts me at high risk....its not fun but necessary. I became ill do to another problem not related to cv-19 ,so now recouperating now from surgery. So I need be careful at this time.
Yeah not fun but at least you can read and post. And enjoy your coins.
Wishing you a negative results, and hopefully your room mate too.
It nothing to play with....the virus is way to smart and an efficient killer, who plays with our minds as it picks and chooses its victims without rhyme or reason.
Kills a perfectly healthy person one minuite and spares a likely victim the next.
Again best wishes please stay safe.....

Assume that is a guideline that States/Municipalities are free to adopt or not?
I assume Hawaii still requires a negative test even for those who have been vaccinated. Anyone know for sure?
Apparently the airports in Alaska have just gone along with the CDC guideline so those who have been vaccinated no longer have to quarantine until a negative test result is provided. For those in Los Angeles County is the CDC statement provided by @hammer1 now in effect for travelers arriving at LAX?
.
Hang in there.
Just keep reading stuff and maybe order a puzzle or two to pass the time. Before you know, 14 days will be up.
I've been fortunate to get round 1 of Pfizer, round 2 is this coming up Thursday. Already booked a trip to Vegas for the May members show. That actually felt good. It seems like things are improving, but there will be pockets where the virus spikes for quite some time.
Hang in there!

That's correct. NOBODY. Just me. This is a very rural area with just one small general store. No other store within around an 8-10 mile radius. Most of the customers are agricultural workers. I was there just yesterday afternoon after 5 o'clock. That's when work ends and the crowd heads off to buy their 12 packs. Lots of men, no masks. Not even the store owner wears one. I asked him about it. He just smiled. So, yea,......NOBODY! Take it to the bank.
In the 1950s our moms would hear about someone in the neighborhood having the measles or mumps and we would all have to go down and play with them and lay on their beds and let them cough on us so we could all have it at the same time and wouldn't have to worry about it again.
I would think that the PTB would want the young healthy teens and late teens to go ahead and catch it so they could build antibodies and it probably wouldn't hurt them too bad. But no, they want them to wait to catch it for some reason.
I've had both Pf shots and I'm 70 and feeling fine. I still wear my mask when I go out but since I work at home (as does my wife) we are only around people twice a week at church. I was out shopping at the feed store today and I was the only one wearing a mask.
I just don't understand what the goal is here and are they really trying to get us past this or are they more interested in prolonging the whole pandemic thing?
I did that as a kid. Only did that with girls. Mom caught me one time. She wasn't happy.
They are more intrested in power and control. The stimulus bills allow them to effectively spend whatever they want on whatever they want. The last bill, 80% of it went to companies that were close to the dems. They want to control the public into doing what they want. I am 17, I had COVID at least once, and I'm just fine. They should make the lockdowns optional, and have everyone thats high risk just stay home. Problem solved. But no... they have to break the economy so they can "help" people by taxing future generations until they die. That's the problem. I am not going to pay those goddamn taxes. Good luck tracking Monero IRS.
hahahhaha. I bet she wasn't. At least you didn't make another kid
Are you sure? Have you done an Ancestry DNA test yet? Sometimes you just never know until you try to find out.
Excuse me, I'm one of the high risk people according to them. I'm 70 and my body is beat to heck from too many years fighting too many wars in too many places where people did not want me to be or really wanted to kill me for being there.
Be that as it may, I still work for a living and even though I work from home most of the time I still have to get out and about and get things to eat and vehicles serviced and to make meetings and service calls so don't even suggest that just because I'm high risk that anyone has the right to say I have to stay home. The world doesn't work that way.
I'm glad you got over you covid and hopefully you have antibodies against it now and won't have to suffer from it again.
I still pay taxes and you will probably be paying taxes long after I am dead to pay for all those bullets and plane trips and electronic equipment and training that I had to go through in all my years in the military. I'm sorry, I wish I hadn't of had to do all that but it is who I am and what I did (don't do it anymore to speak of since I don't see all that well or hear that well and I sure can't run 20 miles with a full rucksack.
My wife has been flying from LAX to Chicago every week ( her Mom is in hospice). No paperwork, no questions, no temp checks. Nothing. Everything normal

This thread was off topic to begin with. Now you’re bringing politics into it. That’s a bad combination.
