Counterfeit Detectors

Several Counterfeit Detectors.
Fine to Very Fine.

The first item is a set of three 6-inch popsicle stick rocker balances for testing U.S. copper cents (1982 and earlier), versus U.S. copper-plated zinc cents (1982 and later). One copper cent and one copper-plated zinc cent accompany the scale in a plastic flip, for testing.

The second item is a nine-slot nickel rocker balance with a black cast iron base, mounted on a wooden stand, along with a small plumb bob suspended from a metal arch. U.S. COIN SCALE/31 BROAD ST. N.Y. is inscribed on the rocker. The balance could be used to check the diameter, thickness, and weight of U.S. silver and gold coins of all denominations from 25 cents to 20 dollars. A small metal container holds two examples of the often-missing gold dollar counterweights for the balance. The overall dimensions are approximately 9 x 3.5 x 2.7 inches.

The third item is a DRI MARK Counterfeit Money Detector pen, still in the original cardboard and plastic holder. The pen is used to detect counterfeit bills.
