NEWP - 1941 10C PCGS MS68

This is by far one of my favorite mercs that I've owned. I haven't been very active buying/selling recently, but this is a good way to start back strong.

Sorry to say however technical grade aside that's either "love it or hate it" type of toning.

I completely agree, it's not for everyone. I happen to really like the crusty color though!

I would like to be able to agree with you but that is not a look that would tickle my fancy. And while I'm not that big on the FB designation overall, how a coin with bands that are not fully defined can reach such a lofty grade is puzzling to me.

I'm not completely sure on the technicality of that. Surprisingly, PCGS has a 39-P graded MS69 non fb.

The one good thing with the bands not full is the price is not as high.

Definitely, price guide is just about 10% of the fb price.

Nice grade, but the tarnish is unsightly.... I call those 'spittoon' coins.... Many years ago, bars used to have spittoons for patrons to spit into when chewing tobacco... Sometimes coins would get into those containers... :p:# Cheers, RickO

Very nice—super clean. I bet a different angle pic would make some of the ‘dislikers’ here change their mind.

Thank you! I'll have to take a few photos in daylight to share with everyone.

    The splashes of color help.

    Nice coin!
