Potential new Wheaties DDO!

This is how I found it out of a roll I bought from etsy. "TRUST" is doubled I believe. Opinions please

Why are you (apparently) searching random coins for DDs?

Also, do you understand the difference between a Doubled Die and Mechanical Doubling? 99.99% of the doubling you will see is worthless MD. It is important to learn the difference if you are going to search.

Doubled Dies are not unique - if they exist for a certain date/mm then there will usually be many produced and they will be known and documented.

You can do what you want, of course, but for me life is too short to look for DDs that don't exist.

Now, if there is a known 1946 DD then you just need to match yours to pictures of the known example to see if it matches exactly.

These are just my opinions. Feel free to do what you want. I can tell you that there are rarities to be found but they are usually found by people who focus their efforts.

Is that what is stuck to the rim on that coin?

You'd have to taste it to be sure. ;)

Soak that coin in acetone to remove the glue or schmutzy gunk on the coin...Not a DDO....Cheers, RickO
