    problem for me also
If you need a hard copy call CDN
I would think they would automatic send that out but NO
you must call first. ONLY those that complain or ask for a FREE copy will get it until they renew.

    This!

Digital subscriptions now include a paper copy if you want one.

Honestly, I LOVE the new digital version as it runs much more smoothly on my system.

pdf. Sometimes, I think based on advertising images, the dang thing would take forever to load. The new digital one opened and smoothly flipped pages. Maybe because it was only loading 2 pages at a time rather than 130 pages???

Here is some additional information from CDN about the recent changes:

CDN has decided to make the online Greysheet only readable. Subscribers will no longer be able to download their Greysheet pdf's or print them out. Going forward we will only be offering combo subscriptions for all our publications. Subscribers will no longer be able to choose between print or online just the combo. The combo will include, the printed copy, the readable copy, updated pricing on the app and updated pricing on our website.

Two main reason CDN has decided to go in this direction is one, to protect the Greysheet. Many of you know there are many dealers and collectors who share their pdf's or print out copies and give them to others. Second is we are having a hard time with the postal service delivering in a timely manner. By giving everyone access to the print and online viewing of the Greysheet solves these two problems.

In the next 30 days or sooner, CDN will only allow 2 devices per subscription. You can order another subscription at half price if needed. This will also cut down on people sharing their logins to view pricing.
There is a new CDN app which was launched in December. Subscribers now have access to see pricing, news, events, dealers and the readable Greysheet.

I wonder if the "Combo Subscription" will be priced significantly higher than current subscriptions?

In response to "I wonder if the "Combo Subscription" will be priced significantly higher than current subscriptions?," here is the new CDN pricing I received from CDN:

New Prices Monthly Annual 10% off if annual is paid as a single payment
    Greysheet $25.00 $300.00 $270.00
    Greensheet $12.00 $144.00 $129.60
    CPG/CAC Combo $6.00 $72.00 $64.80
    Works $35.00 $420.00 $378.00
The Monthly is a recurring charge and can be cancelled after 3 months.

First Class shipping for Greysheet can be added @ $4.00/month or $48.00/annaul

Honestly it is just another way to charge more money to the customer. I have been getting the greysheet as a digital subscription only and now it is going to cost me over $100 more per year. It's not right to do it this way, and it's actually really irritating. The only recourse I have is to cancel if I want to take it that far. :/

I'm not a dealer but I do subscribe to the digital version of the greysheet because it's economical. If I'm forced to go the paper copy route I won't be renewing my subscription. As far as dealers sharing a printout of the digital copy I'm sure that happens but people also give away the previous months paper copy also. There's usually very little pricing difference from one moth to the next. As @morgandollar1878 stated "it's just another way to charge more money to the customer".

Consumers get to vote with their wallets. Creators of material get to take steps they deem necessary to protect their copyright. The market will determine the value of the material.

Personally, I use the app and the printed version and like them both. It’s often much faster to grab the printed version and find what I need. I find quick access to the breadth of information to be a good value at their price.

With all due respect to Mr. Vetter, I believe he is wrong to publicly disparage our company and make repeated efforts here to harm our brand, and I told him so. Especially after we gave him a complimentary print subscription. I won't say anything further in public.

As to the rest of the thread, we certainly know that changing our digital delivery of the Greysheet from PDF download to "viewer mode" is an inconvenience for some and we've discussed this with every customer who has called or emailed. Unfortunately there is no way to secure PDF downloads and keep people from sharing them and this is our main source of income at CDN. I had one dealer call today and change his subscription from 1 copy per month to 5 per month because they have 5 numismatists at the shopThis is just one example in thousands and we had to make the change.

Some honest people like Mr. Vetter get caught in the change, but we've done (and continue) to do everything we can to make our tools better and better so there is no inconvenience. Personally I like the viewer better, but it's true you cannot make multiple copies of the magazine now.

For those who have been supportive here, I thank you very much. We are huge supporters of the hobby and I think we can all do well to work together.

Glad you asked! The "combo subscription" was LOWERED to the price of the print subscription, so the only people negatively affected were those who only subscribe to digital access, and now want to receive printed copies. For those we assess the difference fee, but when people ask nicely, we do it for free. :)

@JohnF Unfortunately, for someone like me who isn't a dealer but a collector and uses the digital version to place a value on my coins, moving to the printed copy becomes cost prohibited. I understand that it's easy to share the digital access with others which I personally wouldn't do but giving away the previous month printed copy to a non-subscriber is also a common practice. I understand that you have to protect your intellectual property and that you've looked at the ramification of the changes implemented which I hope work out as you intended. I unfortunately will not renew when my subscription expires.

    Best of luck to you.

@JohnF -- The other people negatively impacted are the casual users who now do not have a lower cost option. While you are apparently waiving the differential for existing subscriptions, it seems clear that the plan on renewal is to only offer the combo. Why not offer a lower priced, digital-only subscription, even with the limitations you placed on downloads and printing, like pretty much every other publisher on the planet? It's obviously worth less than before due to the limitations, but why discontinue it entirely for those willing to live with the limitations who want to save some money?

Since you have zero incremental cost (other than the occasional customer service call, and billing) to deliver a digital subscription, I'd bet the revenue lost from people downgrading from the combo would be more than offset by the people who will otherwise cancel. It would also give businesses some flexibility to supplement combos with digital only subscriptions rather than just cutting back.

    Maybe something to consider????

I have purchased a download when I needed to for a major show or buying trip. Going on my first buying trip in nearly 2 years, and just discovered you can no longer download pdfs. Leaving in 3 hours to look at a collection about 100 miles west of Fort Worth, and I already know they have no wifi or internet, and visitors complain that their cell phones can't get a signal
due to the house having aluminum siding...
