Hello! Question about pennies

Hey everyone; I’m mainly a card collector, but recently I stumbled upon and fell down the rabbit hole of coins; to be specific, pennies and nickels. I have a jug of pennies and a container of nickels that I’ve been going through, and I have some questions, but I’ll ask them at a later date.
I was wondering, is there a website that has what to look for in penny variations? I have a makeshift list through google-ing, but I was hoping to find a more comprehensive list of things to be on the look out for? Oldest penny I’ve found so far is a 1903 Indian head penny! Pretty fun! Any and all advice welcome! TY!

Welcome to the hobby!
Here's a link to the Lincoln Cent Resource.
There are other sites others might mention.

Cherry pickers guide is a great resource book if you are looking for variations
Welcome to the forum!
Red Book is at the top of my head. Very affordable and a great tool. Many other references by many other books. Have fun, dude.

I agree one simple resource is the Red Book...About $15 on Amazon currently.

It can give you a sense of at least what pennies might be worth learning more about.
Asking good questions with pretty clear photos helps too...there is also a forum here for just that, the Q & A forum.

.
i think between what Ikeiwgin posted and these 3 sites, they should have 99.9% covered from 1909 to present.

If I had a boatload of coins to go thru I'd make a list of date/mintmarks with known varieties and set those aside for scrutiny.
Then for the rest I'd just blow throw them quickly looking for obvious errors.
Welcome to the club,.... or forum. Whatever. Welcome!

If you do get serious about it, put them aside when you are done and at a later time....say a month or so go through them again. You will find ones you missed the first time.
Hey thank y’all so much! I look forward to sharing and collecting!
Wide AM's are the most likely found in pocket change and can bring a nice premium.
If shows open back up, Close AM's and other varieties can be found in both mint and proof sets.
No S mintmark coins... maybe
Wheats turn up regularly in pocket change.
Get both Cherrypickers guides because nothing kills more time than daily cherrypicking online.
Knowledge and opportunity often intersect and everything is fair game on Ebay.
