For bullion, not collecting.
also bought 12 for $34 from a seller on Ebay.
Wow you can save .60 if you buy 1500 or more. And that's still $10 over spot. Such a deal.
there is no way you bought legit 2021 ASE for $35.
an AP would not be letting them go so low. and let's look at if they did... the ebay need to pay about $4 each for overhead. there is no way an AP is letting an ASE go for $30.

so, at $30 then $28 is mint cost then they have to have their own markup
ASE have been so hot that premiums are ridiculous. I don't see an AP selling them for $28.
you better have your "ASE" checked for authenticity.

They were selling like hot cakes at the Melbourne show last weekend, $700 per roll, $35-38 for singles, depending on the dealer.

You are Not considering the bulk discount the Authorized Purchasers are allowed...
You can get them for at least $40. Look around and yes, premiums are crazy right now.
The minimum order is 25,000 coins. How much more bulker would you need? Some place like APMEX buys probably 100,000 or more and has them drop shipped to PCGS. Remember the pic of their receiving room from around 2014?
Minimum orders for American Silver Eagles have been suspended because Authorized Purchasers are Currently under allocations...
The Last sale from the United States Mint for Bullion American Silver Eagles were for only 70,000 @ $29.515/each...
So what was the discount? Are they selling them to the APs at or under spot? A 25 cent per coin discount is essentially meaningless when compared to the cost of selling on eBay, especially without any eBay subsidy.

Discounts are tricky. They are on a inclining scale because of volume, however, since the APs are on allocation the Mint will probably adjust accordingly.
Spot pricing has nothing to do with pricing of precious metals for the Mint. All precious metal pricing is off the LBMA fix which in the case of Silver, is just set once per day, M-F.
...SO...M-F the Mint sells at a different LBMA fix price + the premium...

That mint info was dated 7/12/19. Last I heard the mint was now charging $2.50 over per coin. Maybe someone who knows for a fact will chime in.

The United States Mint is Currently (it can change at any time) charging $2.35 per coin for American Silver Eagles for the coins from West Point and $2.65 per coin for American Silver Eagles coming from San Francisco...
But that doesn't make it a discount. They charge the APs $2 over whatever their basis is. A discount would be something less than $2, no?

it was rumored on the ASE monster thread that the dealers had the ability to order the 40 count trays before the release date of the singles.

Here I am feeling bad paying 30 dollars for a 2021 a month ago at a local coin shop. A week ago they were going for 40$. Didn’t feel so bad anymore.

Silver is another precious metal that is positioned to do very well in this commodities supercycle, according to analysts.
"Silver is used in solar panels significantly. It hasn't grown as much as wind and hydro, but it is an important component within the solar industry. If you do look at the longer-term dynamics, it will benefit as a result," Hynes explained.
Silver can go as high as $60 this year, said Jon Deane, former JP Morgan MD and now CEO of Trovio.
"Short-term, silver is your best trade. There is a lack of silver around the world. There is not much silver at any refineries and getting your hands on physical silver is difficult. There is still a risk of a real silver squeeze," Deane told Kitco News.
This year, silver is also a good leverage play on gold, Deane said. "Silver will outperform gold this year. There's a lack of available silver, plus it got the climate angle. Silver could trade in the $40-$50 range and potentially even hit $60 at some point this year."
