1943 D steel penny

They are still worth one cent. They continued to be regularly found in circulation into the 1960's. The zinc coating is thin and they are often found with rust where the zinc has been worn away.

They are worth closer to 10 cents even in that condition.

My comment meant that they were still usable as money. I don't know how much dealers would charge for them in that condition.
