I see Longacre's beloved QDB is coming out with a new Colonials book...
As I write these words, your very own Longacre is in a frothy frenzy, because he just got an email from Amazon stating that his beloved QDB is coming out with a new book on Colonials in a few short weeks. It is entitled, A Guide Book of Continental Currency and Coins.
Who there is ready to pull up their overstuffed chair, direct their personal valet to pour the finest amontillado in the cellar, and enjoy hours of reading yet another QDB work?
Always took candy from strangers

Groundhogs Day. A Longacre sighting. Coincidence? I think not.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
One of my fellow literature collectors has a "Bowers room" in his house, which is filled with nothing but QDB publications.
Sounds pretty cool!

I hope that the floor joists under it are double thick!
Longacre must get to know the Coinosaurus' friends.

Hey, Longacre! Long time no see! I was just thinking about you the other day, and now you show up!

Expect a sharp uptick in interest in the books subject matter as soon as it is published. A book like this has been needed for a long time.
But, did Longacre see Longacre's shadow?
I lost my password and the email address that I used to set up my Longacre account years ago got closed down, so it was quite the effort to get logged back into my beloved boards. I kept RYK up to date on my travails, and he suggested I actually create a new account. The Longacre body of work should never evaporate into the ether, so I spent the past several weeks getting the account back up and running. Your very own Longacre is back. What have I missed?

a flood of low grade MS gold DE?
While you were gone, there were a couple CAC threads. Otherwise, same as it's ever been.
No but in a twisted bit of irony the Groundhog saw Longacres shadow. Not sure what it means but it’s probably not good

@Longacre.... Welcome back.... Your wit and good humor have been missed. Cheers, RickO
6 more years without another Longacre thread?
Welcome back, Longacre! A lot of us have missed you!

Longacre: At the risk of stating the obvious, the Continental dollars you use as golf ball markers should be put away in a cabinet, as the advent of this frothy new book could push the value of your collection from high-six figures to seven.
I'll be interested to see where QDB comes down on the question of European or American origin for the Continental Dollars. There are strongly held opinions on both sides.
