I found an old box of raw coins / medals / tokens today that I haven’t seen in over 10 years. I totally forgot many of the things in it. This was one of them, the round part is the size of a Lincoln cent. You think any of the grading companies would slab it 🌞
And here’s another Pan American medal I finally got around to photographing last week. The box I found was when I took a bunch of slabbed coins I photographed back to the bank safety deposit box today. The box with the frying Pan medal in it was in the very back of the large safe deposit box.

Does that even count as a "medal" or "token"? It's a souvenir of the expo, certainly, but there are numerous souvenirs from spoons to ashtrays to thimbles to frying pans.

your best bet(s) wo0uld be ICG and NGC, those two will slab almost anything.

No mater how hard I tried. I just couldn't accept that as a Buffalo. That's what I figured it was supposed to be. Perhaps it was modeled after 1 left behind after Buffalo hunters got it. It's head would be deranged from the removal of it's tongue.

Not a "medal", just a miniature commemorative frying pan.
Probably too big for a doll house, so maybe just souvenir kitsch.
Lots of companies were showing off their wares and expertise so maybe a maker of cast iron made this as a giveaway or novelty.
ICG and ANACS maybe but not NGC. Not worth slabbing anyway IMO as it is missing the stickpin and the cost to slab it exceeds its value.

Mr._Spud, that frying pan medal is COOL! It's always fun to go through stuff that's been laying around and forgotten about. Never know what you will find. I like that medal.

I just love that Pan Am Expo medal.
Everytime I see one, my gut tells me to start a collection.
Just spent an hour on ebay looking at various exposition medals.
Anyone know of books that encompass Exposition collectibles etc...

There is one for the Columbian Expo. That expo had a huge assortment of amazing collectibles. They are coming down in price as fewer and fewer people collect them. My favorite is a sewing kit. I'll have to post photos of it.

The embossed frying pan is one of the most commonly encountered Pan-American Exposition collectibles; it comes in quite a number of size and finish varieties. There is a similar (and more elusive) item that has a 1901 Indian cent encased in the bottom of the pan (courtesy of Heritage).
Tho I don't collect spoons (I will get the frying pan one day) I do have a small collection of Pan-American items (my avatar is one.) The enameling on this one is so colorful and well done I just couldn't pass it up.
Just passed on a Charleston Interstate West Indies Exposition Medal that had verdigris.
It was $90 and seemingly below value... figured it could be conserved but images were bad.
I will wait and pay up for a decent example.
