Some Jefferson Nickel Education Please.

What exactly is a "W" Jefferson Nickel. Specifically, a 1948 S Jefferson Nickel. Here is a copy of one in an NGC holder. I cannot see a "W" of any kind other than "WE". Never heard of this.

Stands for "White".
+1.
And I suppose a "T" stands for Toned? I found a NGC Jeff labeled "T". Weird that I have never heard of this useage.
Thanks,
Jim

Here is a good description/history of the use of "W" by NGC.
