It isn't a terrible design. I would like to go back to a static design for quarters. When you have too many programs, the seasoned experienced collectors get tapped out and stop caring. But then again the US Mint customer base is primarily newer and inexperienced collectors that haven't gotten jaded.

I'm getting a little burned out on collecting all variants of the quarters that the Mint is putting out. I think I'm going to start collecting one example of each reverse from circulation in an unlabeled folder and call it a day.

Once they extended the 50 state quarter program this was inevitable. Currency and coins have always been political statements from the start.
