    I never cared for Ikes but, as with anything else, the older and scarcer that something becomes, the more I can appreciate it over time.

    There are CERTAINLY some eye appealing examples being shown here.

    I have 11 of them that form the key and most indispensable part of my collection. Those coins were the slot machine winnings in Las Vegas of the Lovely Mrs. Hydrant on our honeymoon night at the Golden Nugget Casino in that DESPICABLE town. I got arrested the night of our wedding for climbing a fence. I was locked into a parking lot. I only wanted to be with her. Long story. Anyway.......I spent the night in the tank and she won 11 big ones. We laugh about it 43 years later......Things haven't changed much.......

    I remember as a kid bring really excited waiting for them to come out.
    My great uncle (who was really great...I think I have mentioned him before on this board) gave me
    a blue Ike for Christmas.
    I could not have been any more excited....it was a similar feeling to going to my first MLB baseball game...

    Anyway, I think it's a nice design.
    I like the open fields...and the reverse is really done well.

    My Grandfather gave me some raw Ikes, when I was a kid, too.

    It consists of 54 different designations that PCGS gave the series.
    And I spent 6 years trying to find them all, The hunt was most enjoyable.

    I like Ikes. While they didn’t circulate a lot when I was a kid, I did my part! My dad would usually get me a couple whenever he went to the bank and they had some. I’d usually spend them for a comic book, football cards, or candy or some other thing of value to an young grade schooler!

    As I got older, I came to appreciate Ike the president and general and have been a donor to the Eisenhower Foundation for many years to preserve his memory for future generations of Americans. Almost every year, the Foundation sends donors an Ike dollar in the mail with a request to give it to a young American and tell them a bit about Ike.
