2007-P Adams $1 errors

Picked these two guys up for next to nothing. Nice that they're holdered and double labeled. My question is why are they not graded beyond Brilliant Uncirculated? One is very clean, the other has got some rim and surface dings, both look like they were pulled from a bag or roll. Your input is appreciated. Peace Roy

The submitter (undoubtedly submitted a bulk order) didn't pay for number grading.

The First Day of Issue notation suggests that was the angle here, not actual grade. They probably submitted an unopened box to get the FDOI label. Maybe these were found by the TPG in the box.

@JBK well thanks for your insight. I could not have known that. They're nice none the less, my first edge mint errors and twins to boot. Have a good night. Peace Roy

I have been thinking of picking some of these up now that the prices have come down in recent years.

you picked them up next to nothing, because they were never graded. i would of spent the extra money on a MS-65 or 66

@JBK no, I have good antique dealer contacts who buy house contents, which ends up being clean outs. All flavor of coins are found languishing inside furniture. I'm in the middle of a hoard of coins and bullion right now. More to come. Peace Roy
