This is a simple question, can you provide a believable answer??

keetskeets Posts: 25,351 ✭✭✭✭✭

A package with the tracking number RE*********US was received on 12/7/2020.

Given that the above date is seven days ago, how can it possibly take seven days(five working days) for an order to get entered into the system and the process of grading begun?? :p I am a loyal customer who regularly drinks the Koolaide, but this aspect of PCGS relating to Customer Service just has no explanation.

The whole world is working like this lately. I hope your on-line Christmas shopping is done. If not, you'll be giving out New Years Day presents.

My 8 vouchers/renewal comes up in January. I don't guess I need to wait.

As others mentioned, lean and mean with not enough help in the receiving room. Been this way for a while.

Considering all the V75 coins all sent in at once combined with everything else/shipping delays etc, I can see how data entry can be delayed. I mean it's not a robot entering your info.

No clue. The package I sent ATS was received 11-30, with nothing showing, to date.

You can always delay it until April.

my strategy is always the same at this time of year --- get things to PCGS by the 10th of December to avoid the Christmas, New Years end of year delay and ahead of the F.U.N. Show. then wait until the end of January for anything else. that usually means I mail something just after Thanksgiving Day. to PCGS' fault, this sort of thing happens regularly at specific times of the year so they should probably make certain accommodations in the short term.

    it is annoying.

Everything is running slow right now. With most people being at home lately, they could be getting behind on people sending coins in to be graded.

I'm in the same boat as you here. USPS tracking shows delivered on the 4th. The PCGS package tracker shows entered on the 7th. As of right now, nothing has been entered for the orders page. I did label the package as Express also. Looks like a lot of slowness going on right now.

It's a covid mixed bag of a year so why are you posting dissatisfaction with anything shipped, received, or, recorded? Shoot. Maybe half the staff, or, whole had to go in quarantine bc of health and safety policies? Oh, maybe they can't share because of HIPAA polices as well? Like Duh @keets , duh?

Ya' nut. I'm a buckeye too so I have privilege to say yo' have a nuts question. o:)

Because most companies are short-handed because of Corona virus related issues (including the tendency of some people to take advantage of such situations in order to get time off.)
----Not saying that is the case with PCGS, but it is all too common, unfortunately.

Perhaps attending to individual family and corporate needs in time of a pandemic and certainly while obeying all local laws and ordinances take precedence over your package of coins.
Yet certainly, why not call (hound) them on the phone for an exact determination?

I had a similar experience ATS. We need to be patient these days. Much more important things to focus on right now.

Mine was picked up by PCGS at their post-office on Dec. 5, no order yet but they acknowledge receiving it on track package. Good news is that we now have a least one vaccine and more on the way. Equilibrium is at hand in 2021.
