Which is it? Is BM over-paying or under-paying?
The only thing that made me think the limited edition set might sell out before EOY (and it was a long shot anyway) is the current silver hoarding plus the extra attention on the 2020 S SAE. Otherwise I’d think it would follow the pattern of all of the prior sets with the exception of the 2017 with the special SAE.

Mint has reported the 2020 LESPS has sold 39286/50000. A little higher paced than some of the previous years. Perhaps it will reach the close to 50000 mark earlier than last year’s set?

only thing that caught my eye was that both of my samoa qtrs had the exact same line in washington's forehead --- coin 1 & 2 below --- is this from a shaving on the die?
Well, I got mine today. As I was picking out the dime to look I found the capsule wasn’t sealed at all and the dime popped into my hands. I rinsed it as quickly as I could in some acetone just in case but noticed a bit of haze on the obverse. It may have already been there, though, since I didn’t get to really see it before it popped out. Oh well, win some and lose some...
Oh, I looked and my Samoan quarter does not show that mark on the forehead.

Watched an auction tick down, final bid $375 and still available for $201.

Could be, or a problem on the master die. Whenever I get my LESPS, I’ll take a look for it.

so the obv die that struck my 2 samoa qtrs was scratched or something?
Maybe a light scratch or something. Maybe a hair or something was on it when they did the frosting. Something like that.
Maybe it's a new category of errors: "frosted through"
The odd part is that two different dies at two different mint locations are required in order to strike and produce a P and a D quarter right?
This was a proof set, wasn't it? I'm assuming it was two different sets from the same Mint.

LOL. It was simpler when there weren't 12 different sets in 12 different packagings and 2 or 3 different metal compositions.
