Great episode of Pawn Stars, featuring some really interesting coins:

I’ve watched that compilation before — some extremely cool coins and some of the ‘regular’ old timers in there, too. Fun stuff.

That 1895 proof looked better than PR64CAM. At the same time, the owner was asking twice its worth.

I do not watch the show... I think I saw the posted excerpt with ThePennyLady.... Other than that, I spend very little time watching TV. Cheers, RickO

Very interesting cast of characters who just happen to pop into the pawn shop. Hmmm?

My interest in the show has declined sharply in recent years.

Agree. It's all staged. Like "reality t.v.," it's anything but reality.

Of course it’s staged. How else would it even be feasible from a liability/production standpoint?....still, these are real people who own these items and are looking to sell them (or get exposure for their items for sale later) .... not unlike the real people on antique’s roadshow trying to value their items ... real people, real items .... frankly it’d be a bore to see a “reality, live feed” and hope that maybe one decent item arrived for a deal, and that the customer consented to filming, etc......

Many cool items in this vid — NE shilling, gorgeous ‘95 proof Morgan, ‘22 matte proof Peace, 1/2 disme ...... Big Boy Coins 💪🏻

Seattle Slammer, I don't disagree with anything you say. Just pointing out the obvious. And.....I did enjoy watching the video. Whatever. 😁

Yeah they get some cool items in there because of the "show". Lots of showmanship, but net positive PR for the coin biz IMO.

Presents historical and numismatic significance as it relates to US coinage.

Love that show. Visited their store last time I was in Vegas. Saw Chumlee wandering around, doing basically nothing.😂

I surprised myself by watching most of that hour plus video. While I advanced through the ancient stuff, I found myself pausing it regularly on the U.S. coins to check out the PCGS website of Auction results. Turned out to be a fun watch!

Of course it's staged. As far as reality I have learned a lot from watching Pawn Stars. I especially liked Rebecca, the rare book dealer.

If a picture wasn't going very well I'd put a puppy dog in it, always a mongrel, you know, never one of the full bred puppies. And then I'd put a bandage on its foot... I liked it when I did it, but now I'm sick of it.
