Have any of you ever cracked a coin out of an NGC slab and ended up with plastic in the reeds?

Yep, I know that sounds awful. Happened to me. This was a world coin, fortunately inexpensive. Unfortunately it will be difficult to replace. Happened right at the insertion points of the upper and lower left prongs.
Any suggestions on how to remove? Multiple acetone (the acetone sold by Wizard) soaks of different durations won't touch it. Tried a rose thorn...nope. What to do?

Pictures?

Vaccum, toothbrush or vibrate continually.
By maybe placing on some motor. Be careful, so it doesn't get hot or warm. Good Luck

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Pictures would definitely be helpful in this situation. Are you saying the gasket melted onto the coin? Maybe try using a wooden toothpick or a q-tip to get the residue off (if I'm understanding correctly)?
Put it in the freezer for an hour or so... should fall right off, perhaps with a little help of a toothpick or thorn. Cheers, RickO
That's a new one on me! How the heck did you crack it out, with a sledge hammer to the side?
I just hit crackouts with a hammer then pry apart.....
No. The plastic went to the trash.

I use a hammer and that’s never happened to me.

Nickels don’t have reeds😉
I would agree on "Nickels dont (normaly) have reeds", but that was CHD ( @crazyhounddog ) replying with an image. Pretty cool looking hammer...I had to look that one up for Secret Santa gift idea.

Nice hammer
Wisdom has been chasing you but, you've always been faster
In the reeds, no. In my eye, yes. Ouch!
@amwldcoin Definitely not a sledge hammer my man!!! Rather, I use a technique which looks just like the one @crazyhounddog uses.
Won't be easy, but I might try to get some images tonight.
First I'll try the freezer trick. Thanks @ricko !!!

NGC coins crack out very easily with a vice. A hammer should work well as long as you don’t miss and hit your hand.
Careful @crazyhounddog ...you're gonna knock one of those legs off the buffalo with that thing!!
Oh, you cracked it out? Didn't know. I'm sure it can be accomplished with a little tedious patience. Lol.

Aside from the old small ANACS holders, NGC are about the easiest to crack and if careful could probably be glued back together well enough to fool quite a few people!
