Worn corroded copper token ID’d MARINER’S LANDING
The kind of thing that interests me, just Bought for a few dollars on ebay. 1”diameter, not much to go on....and ID ideas? It reminds me of Canadian Blacksmith Tokens, the diameter is a bit under though...the crude bead border at 7 on the reverse has that look, plus the anchor is similar to a known blacksmith....

It reminds me of this Merrimac token, but not exactly the same. I think there were lots of variations though https://images.app.goo.gl/hMrbebTp6vFG7Hm27

Maybe closer to this one? https://www.civilwartokens.com/Event/LotDetails/2685906

neither, but I'd bet you're on the right track.
I don’t think so. Diameter on these is 19mm, this is 1”.
It might be a Monitor too. Lots of them have an anchor on the reverse, yours reminds me of this one on the reverse because of that circle http://coinhelp.net/anchor-design/

Interesting. Looks more like a ferry than an Iron Clad.
Yes, that craft is not a Monitor or Merrimac representation...more like a commercial vessel. Good luck identifying it... Cheers, RickO
...obviously “not”, but the craft and corroded condition bring to mind a delightful view of a Sommer Island piece I looked at Lot viewing. Interesting piece. Hopefully a token collector out there will recognize a design element. The 1 inch size is odd, I don’t think this was commonly used.... should arrive soon to measure, weigh and look at the rims. I did ask the seller for any back history..
Ahhh. Reply.... “

I bought it a flea market in Charleston, SC.
I did a lot of research on Google, and couldn't find anything about it.
I assume it's late 1800's, because I found similar tokens on the internet (with ships and anchors), from late 19th century.
Best regards!” ••••••hmmmmm..........possibly leaning to a Southern ferry or merchant token? Early 19th century? Looks like a dug piece from bad soil.
So after a long postal delay, it arrived today. The reverse says MARINER’S LANDING. It’s Brass.

. If anyone has references on this material I’d love to know more.
I was able to find this token listed as a Maverick Token, on a dealer site
Cool!
