Coin Collectors: What is your favorite flashlight?

braddickbraddick Posts: 25,000 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have found that coin collectors and dealers are knowledgable when it comes to other products and generally your recommendation is solid. With that being said, I am looking for a great thrower of a flashlight. There are so many options. Right now I am thinking Acebeam T27 would fit my purposes.
Any suggestions would be helpful! Perhaps it is a light you use in combination with a metal detector or searching mines for treasure or prospecting! Either way, what do you recommend?

I have a Surefire 6P-BK that I was issued in Iraq. The original bulb would "burn" through the 123 barrettes in about an hour...and it got very hot! I have since replaced the bulb with an led, not as bright or hot, still a great flashlight.

I bought my cousin and myself one of those tactical lights you see on tv. Paid less than $10 apiece for the two and have never had a flashlight as good as this. I'm serious. Could care less about being able to drive a deuce and a half over it and hope never to drop it in a boiling water lake, but the beam is great and can be focused easily.

My favorite flashlight is a pink rabbit's foot with a small light emitting diode. I use it every night this time of year to find the keyhole in my front door when I get home around 5:30. It was a birthday gift from little Hydrantette Jenny. It's not my best flashlight but it is my favorite.

That IS cool! I wish you had a photo of it as looking online I don't see where they're available anymore.

These are the flashlights I use: EagleTac.
I keep several around the house for easy reach, such as by the bed. I also carry one daily and keep one in each car.

I may sound stupid but I bundle my lights with my tools.. Dewalt has some pretty excellent battery options ..
    No affiliation, Just a user..
If you have another brand ,Say Metabo (used to be Hitachi) ,Rigid, Ryobi, Craftsman or Milwaukee I would bundle up..
They all have pretty large inventories..
Black Friday comes long before Thanksgiving ..

What do you use the light for? That might help us answer your question.
I use two different flashlights.....normal white is an Olight and I also use a florescent for scorpion hunting.
    Don't use one for coins...

Besides the one in my cellphone- like @amwldcoin - I use a little red Ray-o-vac with 2 AA batteries at least once a day around the house.

That brand looks familiar. I think they had a booth at the Syracuse State Fair when I went in 2019. My father-inlaw loves to shoot the breeze with anyone who will talk with him. He bought two of the small ones. I like it.
