The Washington Quarter Series also has Some of the Best Varieties that can still be found today raw or in slabs unattributed. Buy the cherry pickers guide and start learning varieties while you start on this set. In makes it a lot more fun...
Enjoy Tom
Tom, or anyone, you mentioned the Cherry Pickers Guide (CPG)... I have a question on the books I have in the picture here. Do I have the complete set? I think it weird but what I found is that it only goes up to 1949?

A Barber Quartet is made up of Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Halves.

Well if you're on a budget then this a great series to collect. Most of them are readily available and reasonably price if you collect under an MS-67. i like the 66+ grades as I think they have the best value. Here are a few of my favorite 66+'s
You probably know this, but the 57 is a type B. Was it attributed on the slab?
@OAKSTAR
Yes, both are from my 55 mint set. I sent the 55 D in for grading and PCGS didn't grade it as high as I hoped so I didn't send the 55 P in, it's still raw.

I am not sure any later versions were made of that book series.
James Wiles has put his efforts into the varietyvista.com website where updates can be made easier and printing and inventory costs are different.

U.S. Type Set
I think that was the last of the hard copy of Dr Wiles set on doubled dies. I have those, too.
I believe I cherry picked myself. Is this not the sought after type 1. Thick lettering?

As a simple example I've always like the light gold color of this one. Lots of luster too. NGC 66+
Isn't this a Washington Quarter thread?

Here's my one and only Washie purchased at FUN last year:

Not my main series though I have assembled a full Dansco of mostly circulated issues.

Also have some nice individual pieces.

Did these come out of a mint set? The coins are slabbed now?
