Here is my first Morgan Dollar given to me by my uncle on my 10th Birthday 1958. He kept it for me in his leather coin purse in a small paper envelope until his death when the coin purse disappeared. 47 years later when his daughter died my mother was executor of the estate and found the leather coin purse with the dollar still in the envelope. Unfortunately, the sulfur in the paper ruined the coin. I still have this coin someplace and the leather coin purse, which I know where it is, just not the Morgan, drat. It brings many memories. I tried many treatments or soaks and ended up this color rather than the black that it was.
