Hammered
Hi everyone. I thought it might be fun and educational if people would share pictures of coins that have an exceptional strike for a entire series. By that I mean, not a coin that overall has just an okay strike, but for that date has a good strike. I mean, a coin whose strike is an excellent representation of the complete (or as close as possible) design on the dies.
Let's try to keep it to business strikes.

The 1920's D & S minted Lincolns are notorious for worn dies and weak strikes. Typically the beard detail is weak on the obv and the upper letters (e pluribus umum) and "O" in ONE are mushy on the rev. This example is the most hammered one I've seen for this date.

Kinda crusty but really well hammered. The fields are scratched thus keeping it from a higher grade but still PL
MS-67 .25 Cent; over used statement but “looks much better in hand”.
