1921 D old holder. Upgrade?

VetterVetter Posts: 927 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have a 1921 D Walker in an old small ANACS holder. I know some series/dates have changed over the years with what makes it a certain grade. Looking at the pictures what do you think this would grade if sent in today from the major grading companies? Thanks

I’d say it looks F12 to F15 or so.

Should be Fine 12 in a major TPG holder.
If you get lucky and they only consider the bust line details, perhaps F15.
Or crack it and offer it raw as VF and it will fit in with the typical Sunday bourse dealer offerings.

    A 15 Obv. and a 10 Rev. Might make a 12.

    It's a 12 but might get 15 on a good day.

I would give it a 15....in hand I think it would look a tad better. Cheers, RickO

NIce coin. Reverse hold it back a bit. I would agree with 12. I bet it's in an 8 holder.

My guess is that it's in a VG10 holder as pictured. Edited to add the answer for your question: F12 today
