Don't forget the quarter too! That's a beautiful coin and would go great with any Columbian collection!
That being said, I think this coin and US Columbian Expo coins are leagues apart. A Spanish silver coin may be more of the same level as the US coins and could be included as well to create more of a bridge.
For this one, I would also love to see it matched with other coins representing New World gold, like a Humbert slug. Territorial coins have a more raw look to them while the Columbian Expo pieces are much more modern.
I’d just like to have that beautiful piece. Yes it’s freaking gorgeous.

One thing I like about coins is community.
I like this and other Spanish Empire good coins but I haven’t been able figure out where collectors of these congregate and chat.
@bidask do you know where collectors of these meet? I know there are some European coin clubs but I haven’t seen anything online with collectors of these.
