A fun, inexpensive collection I am putting together

Ok, so this "collection" isn't going to win the hearts of many- yet I've enjoyed the quest in finding these coins. I work where there are four large fountains. The type of fountains were the water is only a few inches deep and many people toss cents into.
I work late at night when facilitates are closed and will sort of wade out a bit and gather what appear to be interesting cents. Now, if I do find one I "need" for my set I will replace it with two other cents. I picked up a cheap cent album off of Amazon. Now, surprisingly, I have located many duplicates (they get thrown back) and some of the 'common dates' appear to be illusive. I've been having fun with this project off and on for the last few months now and here are the results so far.

the "Beginner's collection" thread got me thinking it might be fun to post these results.
Fun and at minimal expense!

This can also be accomplished "Jefferson Nickel Style" at face value!
I picked up a pair of used Dansco Jefferson nickels album and on occasion will
go through my change and added missing coins as desired.

Your zinc 1982 Small Date actually looks like an SD/LD. Small Date/Large Disease.
Any collection is worth while doing if it makes you the collector happy doing it!

That's a fun project!
In the first pic you have a wheat back in the slot that I believe is meant to show what the reverse of
these cents are, a Memorial reverse.
That is a fun project I have started several years ago with cents, nickels and dimes. It really moves fast. I get 1 to several each time I check the change bin. I tried to get my Grandsons interested but so far no deal.
Thanks for sharing.

Perhaps it’s serving as a memorial for his preferred reverse design
Lousy photo to warn you to NEVER put zinc cents into a Whitman folder.
Lol. Lightning bugs in the night!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. That's pretty good to break up the time. There's nothing wrong with it. I do Lincolns and Jefferson's as well
Interesting.
Watch out for security cameras.

Actually I find both of these collections a bit refreshing to look at. Please keep us posted - maybe a yearly update?

That is a great, casual project. Years ago, when I did put coins in albums, it was fun watching the easily measured progress. Your method also adds a bit of intrigue to the project. Good luck... Cheers, RickO
