The new complaint seems to be that the forum is "boring lately."

A few of Insider2 quizzes would keep it from getting boring or maybe some Roger B research finds....oh wait they were banned. Yep getting boring around here

some tend to think that some banned members kept this place alive. while their contributions were indeed valuable, the negative side outweighed that, hence, they are gone. but I have a suggestion:
--- instead of ruminating on what is gone why not start a thread?? I know it's a novel, unique thought, but try it.

I've started threads and replied to threads but it seems inevitably someone will post a negative response or send me a nasty in box message so why bother? Maybe I'm either not smart enough or just too misunderstood to be a regular contributor to the forum.

We have lost some good members here. However, everybody must live by the rules, no matter how important they are, or how important they think they are. Apparently some to those very knowledgeable and great contributors to these forums did not comply with the rules set forth by our host. I believe some were even given more than one chance.

These forums have changed and evolved in many different ways over the years. People come and people go. This is still the best place to come to discuss coins.

As an ancient, original member, I still love the forum. I don't post a bunch, but still enjoy reading people's posts and opinions.

I still cant figure out why so few 1914 D Lincolns were made. Other than maybe the war efforts were consuming copper?

Comparably speaking, yes- yet if a 1914-D cent was minted one each minute it would take over a year to mint them all.
