Here is my favorite variety on a coin, Concentric Lathe Lines

I used to own a slabbed one like it but have since sold it.

I just picked up this Raw coin which will get certified.

Found in an unopened proof set in 2004 - made my year! Had been searching for almost a decade and was considering a purchase of one in a slab, then lightning struck....

Nice stunner, dude. Still on the hunt for this one. ;)

Out of all of the Original Libertas Americana medals, this is one of just 3 known survivors from the initial delivery of Benjamin Franklin's Libertas Americana medals on April 4, 1783, and bears the earliest die state:

I love the lathe lines! But I don't expect them from modern US Mint work so this is very impressive!

Something went goofy on the color of the image of the 2nd. 1936 T-1 posted. Here are images that show the real color of the coin. It was one of my very first acquisitions in 1996 or so. I really love that coin...lots of character!

Fun cent. I have run across others like it.

I don't get calling it a "variety" though.

This is a stunning variety and one of my favorite cherrypicks of all time:

Here is my "stunner". Not so much the variety, 1942d over Horizontal d. The stunner part was the fact that I found 5 of them at the same B+M in 2 days! Lol

    That's quite a cherrypick, seanq!
