    At first I was thinking it might be a thin planchet. But looking at the surface condition of the cent I would lean towards acidic removal of a few layers. But .5 gram is a lot of difference...

    Loss of weight I think is because of acid or corrosion.

    I wondered about the wieght, i understand it ciuld be off from whatever somebody did to this poor thing but they couldnt shrink it all together could they it is thin about one third of its thickness is gone and its not 19 mil. Acrossed. Could it be a wrong planchett?
