Vg8-vf25 gold

Just curious what the demand; collectibility; market is for lower grade pre 1933 gold. As I look into the tougher mints (C, Da; CC) my price range is in lower grades.
While I really like the look of VF30/35 coins of almost any type, I don’t usually buy much lower grades.
I have seen some Da/C coins that I like in VF20/25, but for CC coins I don’t find a lot available. I see many vg8-20 CC coins out here, with ok look, but am not sure if that is because no one wants those, or if that is what’s really out there as maybe there aren’t many vf/xf.
So are there a lot of collectors for the low grade gold from the tougher mints(and I would be looking at the most readily available/ cheapest dates).
Thanks

You should be able to get a partial answer by checking pop reports.

I'm sure there are other collectors for that grade range. For me personally, my general limit is EF-40, although I will consider a VF-30/35 branch mint gold coin if it has enough eye appeal. Gold is so soft that when a coin has experienced that level of wear, it tends to have a problem or two (nicks, dings, cuts, etc...). I still have a '44-C HE that I purchased many moons ago - 1994/1995 timeframe. It's still in its original PCGS VF-30 holder, as submitted a couple years after purchase. It has its "battle scars" - mainly the reeding mark above the eagle's head and ding below "AT" of "STATES", but I've always thought it had the right amount of "charm" to keep it.
I collect CC gold, focusing on XF45 pieces. I see quite a few 6, 8, 10, 15 condition $5 pieces pop up, and they sell quickly. There isn’t much available in those grades in the $10’s and $20’s. However, CC gold appears to be hot right now, and it is hard for me to find nice pieces in the 45 range.
Collecting branch mint gold coins can get expensive - especially CC or D.....Many collectors are happy with even lower grades, as long as they are not damaged or otherwise impaired. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
There are collectors for just about everything including low-ball coins. I personally love old, well worn gold and many of the coins from the branch mints have so much history behind them. Plus, like you, there are collectors that want to add CC gold to their collection but it's cost prohibitive so they'll purchase a lower grade. Imagine where those early gold coins circulated. That was the rugged old west...wow!
VG cc half eagles are very popular and sell fast when nice and appropriately priced. I personally think coronet half eagles can still be attractive in those grade ranges. From an aesthetic standpoint, I generally don’t care for classic head half eagles below VF35 range. They just don’t wear down as nicely as coronets.

One of many examples. Not many low graded C D and CC minted coins are available, at least not straight graded. Of those you have to find a good example, and those get scarfed up pretty quickly.
Thank you to everyone for the comments. This helped give me a better feel for the gold coins in this range. It is appreciated, and will help me continue the journey.
